Joy

Today, I was finally able to give my worries over to God. And the feeling is so liberating. I want to dance in the joy I have. I want to sit at His feet. I want people to think I'm crazy from all the joy I feel and the way I act because I have an abundant amount of grace. So much grace that it's so overwhelming.

With a long weekend and worry after worry piling up on each other, I had lost the sight of joy. I was stuck in my own head and forgetting to give over my worries and problems over.

Luckily for me, I serve a God who gives joy at times of celebration and also at times of grieving. How can I be so saddened and distressed when there's so much hope to be found in my great God?

I Confess by Alison Luterman

I Confess
by Alison Luterman

I stalked her
in the grocery store: her crown
of snowy braids held in place by a great silver clip,
her erect bearing, radiating tenderness,
the way she placed yogurt and avocados in her basket,
beaming peace like the North Star.
I wanted to ask, “What aisle did you find
your serenity in, do you know how
to be married for 50 years, or how to live alone,
excuse me for interrupting, but you seem to possess
some knowledge that makes the earth burn and turn on its axis.”
But we don’t request these things from strangers
nowadays. So I said “I love your hair.”

Siri Speaks!

Since I'm practically a ghost writer for my job, I get pretty happy when my name actually appears with my work.

I wrote this guest post because I recently just got an iPhone; I love linguistics; and writing this is better than writing articles about why you should sue somebody.

Tuesdays

Article: I Want A Tuesday Kind Of Love | Thought Catalog

I love this piece. I've always found Tuesdays a bit romantic, ever since I heard "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift and I developed a weird attachment to the seemingly ordinary lyric "it's a typical Tuesday night."

For about three years, I would work Tuesday night (a.k.a. Kid's Night) at Chick-fil-A and it was always hectic, always busy, always tiring. For me, my typical Tuesday night was working a busy long night, sometimes wearing the Chick-fil-A cow mascot costume, and occasionally mopping vomit off the floor. Until one day, I got the day off (not typical) and Russell read me a poem on a balcony and asked me to be his girlfriend. Ever since then, it has been a Tuesday kind of love. Hectic, yet absolutely lovely.

San Francisco was amazing, and Napa was gorgeous. There were too many great moments and too many beautiful sceneries to count.
